As a thriving multi-academy trust with a proven track record for transformation and improvement, we are on a growth journey.

We are approaching this by developing specific school hubs. This will help ensure a mixed economy of provision across the region, ensuring more children and young people have access to high-quality education.

Our network currently comprises thirteen mainstream, special and alternative provision schools across Bromley, Bexley, Lambeth and Surrey.

Frimley Oak Academy

It was announced in March 2024 that our Trust has been chosen by the DfE to lead the development of a new SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) free school for 11–18-year-olds, in Frimley, Surrey.

This new free school will offer much-needed specialist SEMH provision to address rapidly growing demand in Surrey. It will also create progression routes from our primary SEMH provision, Bramley Oak Academy, located in Guildford.

We look forward to working with the DfE, Surrey County Council and other stakeholders in the coming months to progress the development of our new school. We expect the school to open to pupils in 2027.

Manor Mead and Walton Leigh

The Federation of Manor Mead and Walton Leigh Schools, Surrey

The Federation of Manor Mead and Walton Leigh Schools will be joining London South East Academies Trust in early 2026.

The Federation comprises two outstanding special schools: Manor Mead in Shepperton and Virginia Water; and Walton Leigh in Walton-on-Thames. Surrey.

The schools provide education for children and young people aged 2–19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), many of whom have additional diagnoses.

Both schools are committed to providing the very best opportunities for every child and young person to make every day count. With a strong focus on individual needs, the schools prepare pupils for each stage of their lives in a safe, happy and stimulating environment.

By joining our Trust, the Federation will share its outstanding expertise in specialist education, while also benefitting from collaboration across our wider network of schools. Together, we will continue to enhance and expand the opportunities available for children and young people with complex needs.

We look forward to welcoming the staff, pupils and families of Manor Mead and Walton Leigh into our Trust later this year.
