Belmonts Bjorn becomes Young Art Ambassador
Belmont Academy’s Bjorn Salubi has been named a children’s art ambassador after impressing organisers during a Tate Modern art scavenger hunt last year.
Bjorn stood out from the start with his enthusiasm, art knowledge and team spirit. When asked who his favourite artist was, he confidently shared his love for Barbara Hepworth—and even switched to Portuguese when he found out the organisers were from Brazil! They were blown away by his passion, knowledge and language skills.
Since then, Bjorn’s taken on his first ambassador role, working with the Nimi Collective at the National Gallery in February. He’ll soon be featured in videos for big-name venues like the Tate Modern, V&A, Science Museum and more - encouraging other young people to explore art and culture.
Bjorn’s mum said:
“A huge thank you to Belmont Academy – you are the best!”
